Alright, here we go! I started today so excited to begin my 30 day cleanse.  Still a little bit skeptical about the whole thing, I began.  If you know me at all, you know that I can’t simply force myself to eat or drink something that doesn't taste good.  I have to say that I was very nervous when I opened the shakes and other items that I needed to use.  I made my first drink, the Ionix Supreme, and I have to say that I was extremely delighted with the taste! I had no problem at all drinking it, and, in fact, it tasted like a low-sugar kind of fruit drink.  It was not bad at all.  I can’t say that it’s the best tasting thing in the world, but it was actually a pleasant drink.
After some time had passed I had my first shake I started today with Chocolate.  Since I love smoothies, I decided to not only add water, but go ahead and blend it with ice.  For a powder only mixed with water and ice, that simply was the best tasting smoothie I've had. I really enjoyed it.  If I had my way, I’d have had more sugar in it, but since that defeats the entire purpose, I must say that it was good.  I had absolutely no problem drinking the entire thing.
I can’t say honestly that I wasn't hungry during the day, but I also can’t say that I was ravished either.  I was definitely craving some food in the in-between moments, but I found some good snacks to hold me over.  Even as I write this before bed, I definitely could enjoy a big bowl of ice cream with potato chips…haha. But, the goal is not for me to live the same as I've been living.  It’s to have some self-control and honor God with my body.  I don’t need everything that I want.  That is for sure.
As for my energy levels, I couldn't tell a difference yet.  Hopefully that will change as I get further into it.  Of course, going to bed on time also might help in that area!

So, it arrived today.  My new, 30 day plan for cleansing and improved overall health.  Isagenix.  For many months I’ve been keeping an eye on the results that this product has brought for someone I know.  Not only has she lost lots of weight, she feels so much better and on top of it all has gone from almost a poverty level with her family to making a 6-figure income.  Am I skeptical?  Absolutely.  I've tried products and weight-loss journeys before, but nothing has really worked for me.  I've never really been at the weight I've wanted to be at, except when I first got married.   I’m a very active person and exercise on a regular basis.  I don’t typically overeat at all, and my choice of foods is not what you’d call terrible.  However, I’m getting close to being 40 and my energy levels are completely kaput.  I’m tired a lot, don’t have much energy, and on many days my zeal for life has disappeared.  I've been seriously asking the Lord to show me what indeed I need to do to make this better.  I don’t want to go through the rest of my life feeling “blah” all the time, and my desire is to truly honor God with my body…after all it is His temple.  Since I've been feeling this way I've decided it’s time to give it a shot, hoping for the best.

Let me make one thing clear, though.  I know deep within my heart that whatever I weigh, whatever I look like, that I am beautiful.  I don’t need a scale to tell me otherwise. I know that I don’t need to weigh a certain amount or even look a certain way to view myself as God views me.  He is really the only approval I need anyway, and He loves me and calls me beautiful no matter what I look like because I’m His!

So, my overall goal for the next 30 days is to lose 10 pounds during this time and to regain some of the much needed energy that's been lost.  Not only have I decided to make this a physical challenge for me, but also a spiritual one.  In no way do I want to depend on a product to be my source of strength, because the truth is that Jesus is all of that for me.  I’m going to be doing this only by HIS grace.  I’m excited to see what He has to bring through this cleansing process.  Will you join me??
